Inspired by Adele, we engage young adults toward deeper involvement in the Marianist Family and particularly in social justice efforts. Any “young adult” who lives in or is intrigued by the Marianist spirit is welcome to participate in ASJP events. We define young adult as anyone between 22-39 years of age. ASJP invites graduating college seniors to join in ASJP events so they can become familiar with what the Marianist Family has to offer for young adults after college. Events can and do happen all around the United States.
The LGBT (Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender) Initiative, an issue team of the MSJC, responds to the Church’s call to be welcoming and compassionate by offering effective pastoral care and spiritual support for LGBT Catholics and their families. We foster dialogue, education and understanding among the diverse communities and institutions affiliated with the Marianist family. Our goal is to fully welcome our Marianist GLBT members into all aspects of our communities.
This team encourages a greater feminine and feminist spirituality and Marian model of church, advocates about the issue of human trafficking that affects so many women and girls, and promotes role models and leadership roles for young woman in both church and society.
